森平房家具製作所 （桃園市大溪區復興一路626號）
在落腳大溪之前，森平房已經是北部知名的木製家具設計師，也是懷德居木工實驗學校的老師。多年來以木製家具聲名遠播，成品有目共睹，手把手帶出來的木工師傅更是桃李滿天下。
森平房來自臺東，就讀高職木工科時就展現過人的才華，小小年紀就拿下國際大獎。後來進入臺北工專遇上恩師林東陽，鼓勵他鑽研木工家具的創作，更延攬他擔任自己創辦的懷德居木工實驗學校的老師，提供滿滿的支持；森平房也不負眾望，一步步成為木製家具的師輩名家。從業至今，他全心投入各式客訂木製家具的挑戰，每一件寫著森平房名字的作品，都投注了滿滿的工藝魂，是品質與品味的保證。
隨著客製訂單越來越多，原先商借的懷德居木工基地逐漸不敷使用，森平房起心動念要尋找適合的工廠。而大溪作為北部木料供給的重要源頭，木工產業鏈更涵蓋從材料到機具的所有面向，是工作室位址的首選，加上親戚也定居在此，森平房展開從河西到河東、溪底到三層的尋覓空間之路。最終在平常收購舊料與機械設備的工廠對面，找到一處地主閒置的廠房，「森平房家具製作所」這才真正落地，在大溪有了自己的基地。
不同於大溪的傳統神桌風格，森平房的學習脈絡偏向北歐體系的簡約自然風，線條簡約、功能性強，溫柔地融入現代居家的室內空間，每一件都能為日常生活建構一隅舒服的風景。他的客訂家具以單椅為大宗，比起購買現成的單椅，森平房偏好依據實際使用需求，客製專屬的尺寸與角度，每一把都獨一無二。其次則是依照空間與使用目的來訂製的桌子、櫃子，有如私廚空間訂製的長桌，單一木頭的超長桌面僅有四隻木腳，中間全無支撐，是舉辦多人同桌活動的重要助力。又或是客人訂製的書櫃，橫跨整面牆的落地空間，森平房特別設計了如風一般的線條，帶有天然香味的寮國香杉紋理細緻，從視覺到氣味，為臥房製造一道宛如林間吹拂的微風。
本身是阿美族的森平房，也會在合適的訂製家具中，依用途和主題置入原住民圖騰元素，為簡約的風格增添獨特的美學。隨著森平房家具製作所的業務漸趨穩定，森平房認為每一件客訂家具都是一次創作，他會投入100%的心力，在符合使用者需求的前提下，注入森平房獨有的設計視野與美學建議，讓品牌隨著家具的完工，走入民間，成為陪伴客戶的日常風景。

Before settling down in Daxi, Sen Ping-fang was already a renowned wood furniture designer in Northern Taiwan and worked as an instructor at HDG Non-Profit Experimental Woodworking School (HDG-NEWS). For years, his wood furniture has earned him a great reputation. In addition to his achievement in furniture design, he has nurtured countless woodworkers.
Originally from Taitung, Sen Ping-fang showed impressive talent while studying carpentry at a vocational high school, winning an international award at a young age. Later he met his mentor Lin Tong-yang when he went to National Taipei Institute of Technology. Lin offered Sen Ping-fang such staunch support that he not only encouraged Sen Ping-fang to focus on designing and making wood furniture but hired him as an instructor at HDG-NEWS that he founded. Sen Ping-fang did not disappoint Lin since he gradually made his name and became a celebrated wood furniture designer.
Different from the style seen in the traditional altar tables in Daxi, what Sen Ping-fang studied is closer to the natural minimalist Scandinavian style. With simple clean lines, every piece of furniture is practical and blends seamlessly into the interior of a modern home, becoming part of the soothing scenery in its owner’s daily life. Most of the custom-made furniture Sen Ping-fang designs are single chairs. In comparison with the ready-made single chairs, he prefers to work out the size and the angle based on the customers’ needs, and each chair is totally unique. Apart from the chairs, he makes tables and cabinets tailor-made for specific space and purpose. For instance, the table
that C house ordered is an extraordinarily long table with only four legs and no other support in between; now, it plays an important role in the gatherings where a group of people sitting at the same table. Another example is the bookshelves tailor-made to cover the whole wall for a customer in 2016. The outline of the shelves he designed feels like the wind, and the air is permeated with the natural fragrance of China fir, which has delicate beautiful patterns. From sight to scent, the bookshelves feel like a breeze blowing into the bedroom from the woods.
As an Amis (Taiwanese indigenous people), Sen Ping-fang sometimes integrates the indigenous totems and elements into the furniture design when it suits the purpose and the theme, adding a unique aesthetic feel to his usual minimalist style. Since Triple Woods Handicraft has become financially stable, Sen Ping-fang treats every piece of custom-made furniture as an artwork that he creates with his total devotion. On the condition that the piece must meet the users’ needs, Sen Ping-fang breathes his unique vision and aesthetic ideas into it, allowing his brand to get close to people and become
part of the scenery in his customers’ everyday lives.
